What is a Memory Montage?
A Memory Montage is a multimedia production on DVD. It is also referred to as a video scrapbook, photo montage, a commerative video, and many other names. It differs artistically from a powerpoint presentation or built-in slideshow program that comes with some of the newer computer models. It is far more sophisticated. With a Memory Montage, each image is animated using custom motion effect such as panning and zooming. Often multiple photographs and video are layered with special effects applied to create a rich, artistic unfolding of imagery. Music sets the mood for the video, and we carefully custom edit all sound tracks for maximum emotional appeal. The result is that your photographs come to life and tell a story more dramatically than a traditional slideshow ever could.
Can I scan my own photos?
Yes, however you should scan with the highest resolution possible. The minimum should be 300 dpi. If your scanner does not scan at this resolution, you should consider taking your photos to a photo shop like Fox Photo, CVS or Walgreens or we can scan them for you for an additional charge.
But my pictures are one of a kind, I'm afraid to send them away.
If you send us your photos, we will treat them with the utmost in care and return them back to you carefully packaged and in the same condition.
What size photos can be used?
We can use photos as small as wallet size (1"x1.5") up to 11"x17".
What about music that is copyrighted?
Almost all music is copyrighted. Copyrighted music for your video will be purchased from iTunes for as low as $.99 per song. We don't charge you more than we pay for the song. We can also use stock, royalty free music at no additional cost. Your Memory Montage video is created for personal use only and not meant for viewing outside of your family and friends.
Can I include video clips along with my photos?
Yes! Each video clip should be no longer than one minute. Clips must be submitted on VHS, mini DV tape or as an .avi, .wmv or .mpg file on a disc or flash drive. If multiple clips are included on a VHS or mini DV tape, please indicate the "in" and "out" points starting from the beginning of the tape.
Can I add verbal messages in the video?
Voice-overs can be added to any part of your video. You can record your own voice-overs or we can record them for an additional charge. They should be provided in .mp3 or .wav format.
What is the length of a typical Memory Montage?
Videos are usually between five and fifteen minutes long. The length of your video is up to you.
How do I send my video materials to you?
Digital photos, videos and voice overs should be sent via data CD or data DVD. If you don't have digital copies of your photos and don't have access to a scanner that has 300 dpi resoluiton, you can send them to us to scan. We assure you that we will take excellent care of them and promptly return them when we ship your DVD.
How quickly do I need to send the pictures, video and voice overs?

You should allow yourself ample time to pick out your photos, video, and music. You will also need to determine the order in which your photos will be displayed in your Memory Montage.
